Concrete elbow is an important part in concrete conveying pipeline system.
It is mainly used to change the direction of concrete transportation, so that concrete can smoothly reach the designated position in accordance with the construction requirements. It is usually installed where the pump pipe needs to be turned, such as at the corner of the building or at the junction of different poured areas.
In terms of material, concrete elbows are generally made of high-strength cast steel or wear-resistant alloys. This is because when the concrete flows through the elbow, due to the change of direction will have a greater impact force and friction on the inner wall of the elbow, these wear-resistant materials can effectively resist wear and prevent the elbow from being rapidly eroded, thus ensuring the service life of the elbow.
In terms of specifications, its pipe diameter and connected to the pump pipe diameter match, the common pipe diameter of 100mm, 125mm, 150mm and other specifications, can adapt to different conveying capacity and different scale of concrete transportation requirements.
The interface design of the concrete elbow is also critical to ensure that it is tightly connected to the adjacent pump pipe to prevent concrete leakage. Generally through the flange connection or special pipe clamp connection, this connection can ensure the connection firmness and tightness, so that the entire concrete conveying system stable operation.
